The road to Morocco may have been rocky, but Emily Talley rocked it once she got there.
After only one top 10 finish on the 2015 Symetra Tour and dropping from 18th to 54th on the tour's money list, the former University of Colorado golfer saved her best rounds of the year for the Ladies European Tour Final Qualifying in Marrakech, Morocco.
Talley earned fully-exempt status on the LET by finishing seventh in the event held at Samanah and Al Maaden Golf Clubs.
Her five-round total of 348 placed her at 12-under par, tops among American players. Aditi Ashok, a 17-year-old Indian amateur, won with a 23-under 337.
Talley, who rose to national prominence by winning The Golf Channel's The Big Break NFL in 2013, notched 23 birdies and an eagle during the LET Q-School competition. She carded nothing worse than a bogey over her 90 holes.
When the LET season begins in February with tournaments in New Zealand, Australia, China, Morocco and Turkey, Talley will find herself competing with two other golfers with Colorado ties: University of Denver alums Ellie Givens and Tonje Daffinrud, who respectively hail from England and Norway.
