We-Ko-Pa Golf Club: The Premier Sonoran Desert Golf Destination

WeKoPa Golf Club – Saguaro Course #10

Whether playing Cholla or Saguaro, golfers are treated to an Arizona golf experience unlike any other at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club. The lack of development surrounding the facility encourages you to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Sonoran Desert.

WeKoPa Golf Club – Saguaro Course #11

We-Ko-Pa begins where the city ends at the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, just east of Scottsdale. Open landscapes, vibrant colors, and incredible mountains views perfectly complement an extraordinary day on the golf course. Cholla, designed by Scott Miller, runs along desert ridges and shady arroyos to provide a memorable test full of risk-reward options.

Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw designed Saguaro to incorporate desert golf with timeless design traditions. It’s built for walking, follows the natural movement of the land, and the playing corridors are a bit wider compared to Cholla.

Add this to the amenities of the next-door resort and action of the casino, and We-Ko-Pa Golf Club stands as one of the best experiences in the Valley of the Sun. The resort’s new Golf Suites are perfect for stay-and-play vacations. Each accommodates four to five guests in two deluxe rooms connected by a living room with a pullout sofa and kitchen.

Also next door, Fort McDowell Adventures offers activities such as hiking, biking, rafting and horseback riding. And at the end of the day, it’s time to chow down fireside at a cowboy cookout and watch the sunset fade to a starlight night.

WeKoPa Golf Club – Cholla Course, #3

For a little gaming action, Fort McDowell Casino sits adjacent to the resort and golf club. It’s a full-service casino and gaming facility offering slots, Keno, Bingo, a Card Room and Blackjack in addition to dining and entertainment.

Although Cholla and Saguaro are clearly the main draw, We-Ko-Pa has developed into a destination where vacationers can enjoy much more than world-class golf.
