The knockdown shot— especially as The Open Championship draws near— is a shot all professional golfers use with regularity and relative ease. Now, we understand most of you won’t be teeing it up in the conditions we’ll see at Royal Birkdale in July, but even the mildest of breezes can call for a shot of this nature. The knockdown allows the golfer to pierce through wind at a low trajectory with tremendous amounts of spin, all while enabling the golf ball to hold the green. So, how do they do it?
