It’s time to draw a line in the sand.
Literally.
For amateurs, the bunker shot can be a source of endless frustration. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
In the video below, Minnesota PGA Professional Greg Schulze demonstrates a simple golf tip to improve both the way you think about—and the way you execute—bunker shots.
This bunker drill involves drawing three lines in the sand (of course this is a drill to practice and not allowed during play):
- An arrow towards the hole/target
- A line parallel to the arrow
- Another line perpendicular to the previous two
Then, see how Schulze demonstrates how to align your body and clubface to execute the shot. The setup is that simple. Now it’s just up to you to hit the shot and make the putt.
