¡Qué Bueno! Cabo Real Estate is Caliente

Chileno Bay and Diamante Are Heating Up the Baja Market

Erudite travelers know the Auberge nameplate and its intimate collection of premier vacation experiences. The quickly expanding group of hotels, spas and resorts are found from the British West Indies to Fiji, including two in Colorado—Aspen’s Hotel Jerome and Telluride’s Auberge Residences at Element 52.

Likely, enamored fans are equally familiar with Auberge’s lavish Mexican resort, the Esperanza in Cabo San Lucas, a 17-acre Sea of Cortez getaway that echoes the company’s mantra for delivering uncompromising customer service, lodging and recreation.

What people might not yet know is that Auberge’s newest Mexican jewel – Chileno Bay Resort & Residences – is under construction not far from the Esperanza on prized Chileno Bay, one the few naturally sheltered coves in Cabo. Chileno Bay Resort & Residences is planned as a 29-room, luxury beachfront resort complemented by a community of privately owned, three- and four-bedroom villas priced from $1.6 million.

Hassle-free ownership will offer unfettered access to resort amenities and services, including a 138-meter swimming pool, fitness center, kids club and pool, owners lounge, waterfront sports center, outdoor and indoor dining, and the newly opened Chileno Bay Golf Course crafted by esteemed architect Tom Fazio.

The 22-acre project is on pace for an October 2016 opening, with nearly half of the 32 Phase One villas already reserved. Prospective owners are invited to overnight on property at the historic and newly renovated Hotel Cabo San Lucas.

Diamante Locks in Tiger Woods

Six miles north of downtown Cabo San Lucas on a private 1.5-mile stretch of panoramic coastline, the private resort community of Diamante is aggressively moving ahead to greatly enhance its celebrated recreational assets.

Already boasting a brilliantly crafted golf course designed by Davis Love III (Dunes, ranked 38th in the world by Golf Magazine) and the first-ever course bearing Tiger Woods’ signature (El Cardonal), the 1,500-acre property has retained Woods to route a third championship-caliber course as well as an executive-length track.

Quite a lineup, considering residents are further pampered with a 10-acre saltwater lagoon, 25-meter lap pool, health and fitness club, tennis, spa services and a superlative clubhouse with indoor and outdoor dining.

Real estate offerings include four-bedroom villas with views of the Dunes course, priced from $2.1 million; beachfront homesites with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and migrating California Gray whales, priced from $1.15 million; three-bedroom casitas, priced from $1.05 million; and exclusive penthouse suites atop the Dunes clubhouse, priced from $1.5 million.
