Description: Format: Singles Match Play.
The tournament is three days of match play preceded by an 18-hole
stroke play qualifying round on June 25th. The low 24 Handicap Indexes
in the Open Division, low 16 Handicap Indexes in the Senior Division,
and anyone with a Handicap of 10.0 or below MUST enter the qualifying round in order to have the chance to compete in the Open or Senior Championship Flight.
Qualifying scores will determine flighting and seeding for the
Championship and First Flights in the Open and Senior Divisions (16
players in the Open Division, Championship Flight and 8 players per
flight in the Open Division, First Flight and Senior Division Flights).
Ties for the last place in Championship Flight of either division will
be determined in a hole-by-hole playoff. All other ties will be broken
by Handicap Index. Those unsuccessful in qualifying for the
Championship or First Flight in the Open or Senior Division will
automatically be flighted according to their Handicap Index.
Those not falling within the low 24 Handicap Indexes in the Open
Division, low 16 Handicap Indexes in the Senior Division, or those not
opting into the qualifying round will be flighted and seeded by Handicap
Indexed (based on July 1st revision) with 8 players per flight.
Of those opting into the Senior Division, players not falling within
the low 16 Handicap Indexes or opting into the qualifying round will be
flighted and seeded within the Senior Division as long as there are
enough seniors to yield a competitive flight. Remaining players will be
flighted and seeded by Handicap Index in the Open Division.
