Description: Format: Singles Match Play. The
game is played by holes. A hole is won by the competitor who holes her
ball in fewer strokes. The match is won by the player who is leading by a
number of holes greater than the number of holes remaining to be
played.
The tournament is three days of match play preceded by an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round.
Players are flighted and seeded according to their qualifying round
scores with eight players per flight. Ties for the last place in the
Championship Flight are played off in a hole-by-hole playoff. Ties for
seeding positions in all flights will be broken by Handicap Index.
Each flight has a consolation bracket for players eliminated in the
first round matches. Players forfeiting their first match will not be
eligible to compete in consolation round matches. |

Prizes: Trophies/commemorative
prizes are awarded for the winner, runner-up, and consolation winner
within each flight. The winner of Championship Flight is the State
Champion.
Matches that are tied after 18 holes will be extended in a holeby-hole playoff beginning on the hole where the match began.
This is an AJGA Performance Based Entry.
The top two finishers will recieve one AJGA tournament exemption. |
