Played on a Sunday morning. Course fee listed here is 85 dollars actually 98 dollars with cart. Definitely not worth price. Some of the greens were in horrible condition. Second cut of grass on fairways is way too long. Disappointed with condition of some tee boxes as well. Golfers beware when playing here. There are better values in Northern NJ.

The previous post obviously has a grudge of some sort because this is the best conditioned public course I have ever played! I am a member of a private club located a few miles from Emerson and I only wish our greens were this nice. A bit pricey for the average daily fee but you definately get what you pay for. I am a 2 handicap that plays between 75-100 rounds a year and I definately will be playing again at tis hidden gem. The Record also printed an entire page on the conditions of this course last fall and lauded the green conditions as one of the best in the area, public or private. Not sure what the previous poster had an issue with but it was not the course I played, and I played in August as well.
