Dear Golfers,

As Governor of the great state of Colorado, it is my pleasure to introduce to you the Colorado AvidGolfer 2008 Colorado Golf Guide, the official guide to golf in Colorado.  The governing bodies of golf in Colorado- the Colorado Section of the PGA, the Colorado Golf Association, the Colorado Women's Golf Association, the Rocky Mountain Golf Course Superindenents Association and the Ladies Professional Golf Association- have come together to create a complete resource guide to golf in the state.  This publication serves and promotes the game within the state as well as to our vast number of visitors. 

I firmly believe that you must spend time outdoors to fully appreciate the wonders of Colorado. Golf is one of the most traditional outdoor activities in the state and has been since 1893. From the vast open plains to our snow-capped peaks of the Rocky Mountains are some of the most beautiful and enjoyable golf courses in the world.

The Golf Club at Bear Dance

Directions: Take I-25 to exit 181. Follow the west frontage road south for 4.5 miles to Tomah Road. Turn right, go 50 yards and turn left on Bear Dance Road.  Follow signs to the course.

Cougar Canyon Golf Links

Directions: From I-25 exit 15 in Trinidad and travel east. Turn left on Hwy. 16 (Main Street).  Turn right on Cougar Canyon.  Drive and follow the signs to the pro shop.

Four Mile Ranch Golf Club

Directions: Located on the north side of US 50 one mile east of Canon City.

Lakota Canyon Ranch Golf Club

Directions: Take I-70 west past Glenwood Springs to the New Castle exit (105).  Go north .8 mile on Castle Valley Boulevard to golf course entrance.
