Biography – Dr. Christian Reichardt
Christian H. Reichardt, DC, CCSP, has been a practicing doctor of chiropractic since 1983. He was a disability evaluator for the State of California, but then turned his attention from work-related injuries to sports injuries due to his own involvement in sports.
He became one of the first Certified Chiropractic Sports Physicians in the U.S.A. in 1986, as well as a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management.
His practice in Santa Monica, California draws a large clientele of Hollywood celebrities, as well as professional and amateur athletes. He has worked with a number of US Olympic Team members and Golf professionals. In addition, he served as a staff- doctor for the 3 on 3 "Hoop It Up" basketball series.
Working with this caliber of athletes for over 18 years, Dr. Reichardt is uniquely positioned to understand the golfer's needs and athletic requirements. His own golf experience encouraged the development of his unique and extremely effective golf assessment and teaching system. He has written the acclaimed book "PainFree Golf", contributes articles for a number of golf publications and teaches golf pros as well as healthcare practitioners about physical limitations and their effect on the golf-swing. He publishes and maintains the acclaimed www.Golf-Health.com Website, a review and testing site for golf products. He has written an Assessment and Outcome protocol for the PGA Teaching Manual and lectures about it in PGA Continuing Education. Dr. Reichardt was also a staff instructor for the United States Golf Fitness Association. His expertise in the physical components of golf, as well as Golf education, resulted in the invitation to the Golf 20/20 task force.
Having practiced Yoga for the last 13 years, he became a Certified Yoga Instructor in June 2000.Being an avid golfer himself, he has been learning about the importance of proper fitting equipment and became a Master Club Fitter in 2005.
His innovative concepts about golf education and fitness are endorsed by a number of pro players as well as doctors from the medical and chiropractic field. Consequently, besides maintaing an active practice, Dr. Reichardt is a much-requested lecturer and teacher at Golf events and tournaments.
In June, 2005, Dr. Reichardt championed a new and innovative approach in teaching golf:
Indoor, upscale golf teaching facilities that are based on the premise that the 4 components of golf need to function synergistically in order to produce significant improvement in each and every participant of the sport, and not just the pros. Here, the body, mind, swing mechanics and equipment are assessed and then prioritized. All are equally important and need to be addressed individually in the right order to help the golf enthusiast to improve their game and extend their playing years. It is Dr. Reichardt’s intent and mission to bring that message to the entire golf world.
