Kent, Connolly, and Dolan Qualify for U.S. Junior Amateur

Cody Kent of Castle Rock, Colo. shot 139 at Lake Valley Golf Club to qualify for the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and earn USGA low qualifier medalist honors. Kent currently plays for Douglas County High School and will be a junior this fall. Brendan Connolly of Castle Rock, a sophomore at Rock Canyon High School, shot 69 in the second round for a 142 total to earn the second spot. Also qualifying at 142 was Brennan Dolan of Boulder, Colo. who will be a senior at Fairview High School.
 
John Ahern of Morrison, Colo. earned the first alternate position at 144, and David Holtgrewe of Cherry Hills Village, Colo. is the second alternate at 145.
 
The three qualifiers will play in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship to be held July 21-26, 2008 at Shoal Creek, Birmingham, Ala.
